Abstract

Acetamide-zinc chloride eutectic catalyst was used to promote the catalytic degradation of polyethylene terephthalate(PET),achieving rapid degradation of PET at atmospheric pressure and low temperature,and generating high value ethylene terephthalate(BHET)monomer for PET recycling.The effects of reaction temperature,reaction time,and the mass fraction of catalyst on the degradation efficiency were investigated through single factor experiments.Design-Expert 8.0 software was employed to optimize the experimental design and construct a response surface analysis model.It was found that under the conditions of a reaction temperature of 195 °C,a reaction time of 14 min,and a 4%mass ratio of catalyst to PET,the degradation conversion rate of PET reached its maximum,with the monomer yield as high as 80.9%.The reliability of the model is verified by comparing the predicted value of the model with the actual experimental value,and the average deviation is-1.2%.Characterization indicates that the reaction product is a high-purity.
