Abstract

Under the goals of emission peak and carbon neutrality,reducing carbon emissions from coal-fired units and enhancing renewable energy utilization efficiency are crucial approaches to achieving these goals.This paper proposes a solar thermal-coal-storage complementary power generation system by integrating a three molten salt storage tanks of thermal storage system with coal-fired units and trough type solar energy collection system based on temperature matching and energy cascade utilization principles.Considering conventional peaking capacity and retrofitting costs of coal-fired units,the system's parameter configuration is optimized with the objective of maximizing energy utilization efficiency.Research results show that the energy utilization efficiency of the solar thermal-coal-storage complementary power generation system initially increases and then declines with extended thermal storage duration.The optimal energy utilization efficiency reaches 88.82%at a thermal storage duration of 350 min,the net daily coal saving is 36.49 t.These results demonstrate that the integration of coal-fired units with trough type solar collection systems and thermal storage systems has good peak-shaving performance and emission reduction effects.
