Progress in Diagnosis and Treatment of Thoracolumbar Vertebral Compression Fractures in Multiple Myeloma Bone Disease

Abstract
Multiple myeloma(MM)is a malignant cancer that proliferates through B lymphocytes.Multiple myeloma bone disease(MMBD)can lead to severe symptoms in patients and requires timely diagnosis and treatment.The causes of MMBD are various,and one of the important factors is osteoporosis in patients with myeloma,which leads to changes in bone tissue.Spinal fractures in MMBD,especially thoracolumbar multiple compression fractures,are more common in clinical practice and are more likely to be found.Therefore,timely and accurate diagnosis of thoracolumbar compression fractures in MMBD is of great significance for preventing the occurrence of multiple myeloma bone disease,improving the quality of life of patients,and implementing active and effective treatment.This article reviews the epidemiology,diagnosis and treatment of common thoracolumbar vertebral compression fractures in MMBD,in order to reduce misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis in clinical practice and provide help for early diagnosis.关键词
