Abstract
Objective To analyze the clinical application value of pterygium excision combined with autologous limbal stem cell transplantation(ALSCT).Methods A total of 80 patients with pterygium admitted to Suichuan County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from July 1,2021 to December 31,2022 were selected and randomly divided into control group(40 patients)and observation group(40 patients).The control group was treated with pterygium excision,and the observation group was treated with ALSCT on the basis of the control group.The recovery time of ocular surface function(corneal epithelial repair time,wound healing time),visual acuity level[uncorrected visual acuity(UCVA),corneal astigmatism(CAD)],postoperative complications and pterygium recurrence rate(6 months after operation)were compared between the two groups.Results The corneal epithelial repair time and wound healing time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group(P＜0.05).One month after operation,UCVA in the two groups was higher than that before operation,CAD was lower than that before operation,UCVA in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and CAD was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications and recurrence rate of pterygium in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Pterygium excision combined with ALSCT can shorten the recovery time of ocular surface function and improve the visual acuity,with fewer postoperative complications and lower risk of pterygium recurrence.关键词
