摘要
Abstract
Objective To study the differences in eosinophils,C-reactive protein, and procalcitonin levels in children with pneumonia caused by influenza virus versus adenovirus. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 80 children with pneumonia caused by viral infections who were treated at The People's Hospital of Anyang from June 2022 to June 2024.According to the type of virus infection, the children were divided into two groups:the control group consisted of 40 children with pneumonia caused by influenza virus, while the observation group included 40 children with pneumonia caused by adenovirus.Common clinical symptoms and signs in both groups were compared, and laboratory blood indicators were analyzed to identify the factors affecting pneumonia caused by adenovirus infection and to assess the predictive value of different indicators for pneumonia caused by adenovirus. Results The body temperature of children in the observation group was lower than that of the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The white blood cell count, red blood cell count, and C-reactive protein levels in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, showing statistical significance(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis indicated that lower body temperature, elevated white blood cell count, elevated red blood cell count, and elevated C-reactive protein levels were factors influencing the occurrence of pneumonia due to adenovirus infection in children(P<0.05).A nomogram prediction model was constructed based on the results of multivariate analysis, and ROC curve analysis was used to predict the occurrence of pneumonia due to adenovirus infection using the children's body temperature, white blood cell count, red blood cell count,C-reactive protein levels, and the nomogram model. The areas under the ROC curves were 0.832,0.783,0.813,0.818,and 0.963,respectively.Conclusion There are differences in body temperature, white blood cell count, red blood cell count, and C-reactive protein levels between children with pneumonia caused by adenovirus and those caused by influenza virus. These indicators can assist clinical diagnosis in distinguishing between the two types of pneumonia.Additionally, the established nomogram model has good predictive value for pneumonia caused by adenovirus infection in children.关键词
