摘要

Abstract

In order to investigate the prevalence of bovine and ovine brucellosis in a city of Shandong Province,the cattle and sheep across the city were detected for antibodies against Brucella by means of a census during January to June of 2024.The results showed that the individual and herd prevalence rates of ovine brucellosis were 0.52%and 1.34%,respectively,and those of bovine brucellosis were 0.03%and 0.83%,respectively,and the former was significantly higher than the latter(P<0.05);the apparent individual prevalence rates on smallholders and intensive farms were 0.50%and 0,respectively,and the apparent herd prevalence rates were 1.30%and 0,respectively;all the Brucella-positive individuals were distributed on smallholders;and the prevalence rate of positive herds under re-examination was significantly higher than that of initial examination across the city(P<0.05).In conclusion,bovine and ovine brucellosis was regularly controlled in the city,although there was relatively high risk in sheep herds and smallholders.It was recommended to strengthen the monitoring and purification of brucellosis in sheep herds and smallholders,and to increase management for disinfection and cleaning on positive herds/farms.
