Abstract

To investigate the effects of prohexadione-calcium(Pro-Ca)on the flower bud differentiation,flowering and fruit of strawberry,strawberry variety'Kaolino'was taken as the experimental material,and Pro-Ca was applied to the leaf surface before planting.The growth index of strawberry after spraying were determined,the morphology of flower bud differentiation was observed,and the expression of related genes was deteced.The flowering stage after planting and measuring the yield and fruit quality of strawberry at each stage were recorded,and the effects of Pro-Ca treatment on the growth,flower bud differentiation,yield and quality of'Kaolino'strawberry were explored.The results showed that:1)Pro-Ca treatment could significantly inhibit the growth of strawberry(P<0.05),and the relative content of chlorophyll in leaves increased by 6.28 to 9.07 compared with that before treatment.2)Pro-Ca treatment could regulate the expression of floral meristem determining gene FaAP1 and floral meristem specific gene FaLFY,and promote the early differentiation of flower buds by about 2 weeks.3)The appropriate concentration of Pro-Ca treatment could advance the beginning flowering and fruit setting period of strawberry by 3 days,and the fruit ripening period by 6 days,which significantly improved the fruit quality of strawberry(P<0.05),increased the initial fruit weight and yield per plant,and increased the yield by 5.85%to 10.37%.In summary,leaf spraying Pro-Ca treatment 40 days before the planting of'Kaolino'strawberry in Beijing area can effectively inhibit the growth of strawberry,increase the relative content of chlorophyll,advance flower bud differentiation,advance flowering and fruit,improve the initial fruit yield and fruit quality,and contribute to early listing of strawberry.
