Impact of agricultural digital transformation on the quality of exported agricultural products
摘要
Abstract
To explore the correlation between agricultural digital transformation and the quality of exported agriculture products,this study is based on a set of panel data from 30 provinces(cities,autonomous regions)in China from 2009 to 2021(the data do not include those of Xizang,Hong Kong,Macao and Taiwan regions.The same below).An agricultural digital indicator system are constructed from three dimensions:infrastructure,agricultural industry digitization,and agricultural digital industrialization.Empirical tests were conducted to investigate the impact of agricultural digital transformation on the quality of exported agricultural products.The study found that:1)There is a U-shaped correlation between agricultural digital transformation and the quality of exported agricultural products,which is initially suppressed and then promoted.After a series of robustness tests and addressing endogeneity issues,the above conclusion still holds true;2)The impact of agricultural digital transformation on the quality of exported agricultural products is heterogeneous,particularly evident in major production areas,balanced production and sales areas,and non-resource-based provinces;3)Rural human capital is the key channel for the impact of agricultural digital transformation on the quality of exported agricultural products,and the strength of government environmental regulations plays a regulatory role in the relationship between agricultural digital transformation and the quality of exported agricultural products.Based on the conclusion above,this study proposes policy recommendations to accelerate the digital construction of agriculture,establish a long-term mechanism for improving the quality of agricultural products around resources and advantages,and promote the enhancement of rural human capita.This study provids references and inspiration for empowering the quality improvement of exported agricultural products through digital agriculture.关键词
