Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of Shiwuwei Coral Pill combined with Sodium Valproate in the treatment of epilepsy.Methods A total of 80 patients with epilepsy admitted to Fuxin Mine General Hospital of Liaoning Health Industry Group from January 2021 to December 2023 were randomly divided into control group and observation group,with 40 patients in each group.The control group was treated with sodium valproate,and the observation group was treated with 25 flavor coral pills combined with sodium valproate.The effects,cognitive function,levels of oxidative stress and inflammatory factors and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in the scores of memory ability,time sense,operation ability,resolution ability,concentration ability,communication ability,number arithmetic and reasoning ability between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the scores of memory ability,sense of time,operation ability,resolution ability,concentration ability,communication ability,number arithmetic ability and reasoning ability of two groups were significantly increased(P<0.05),and the observation group was higher than the control group(P<0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in serum catalase(CAT),lipid peroxides(LPO),late protein oxidation products(AOPP)and myeloperoxidase(MPO)levels between two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the serum levels of CAT,LPO,AOPP and MPO in 2 groups were decreased(P<0.05),and the serum levels of CAT,LPO,AOPP and MPO in observation group were lower than those in control group(P<0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in serum levels of interleukin-1β(IL-1β),high mobility group protein(HMGB-1),interleukin-2(IL-2)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)between two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the serum levels of IL-1β,HMGB-1,IL-2 and TNF-α in 2 groups were decreased(P<0.05),and the serum levels of IL-1β,HMGB-1,IL-2 and TNF-α in observation group were lower than those in control group(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in the incidence of headache,nausea,stomach upset and allergic rash between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion 25 flavor coral pill combined with sodium valproate can effectively improve the cognitive function of epilepsy patients,reduce inflammation and oxidative stress,and improve curative effect.关键词
