摘要

Abstract

This study utilized a natural cellulose homologous to paper fibers for coating enhancement of cellulose paper.The results showed that ZnCl2/cellulose solution could form a dense regenerated cellulose film on the surface of paper,significantly improving the interface bond-ing between internal and surface fibers of the paper,reducing the porosity of the paper,promoting the densification of the surface structure,and greatly enhancing the barrier and mechanical properties of the coated paper.Compared to uncoated paper,the air permeability,water vapor permeability,and oxygen permeability of the coated paper decreased by 99.8%(coating weight of 0.8 g/m2),80.7%(coating weight of 0.2 g/m2),and 86.2%(coating weight of 1.0 g/m2),respectively,with the water contact angle increased,Cobb value decreased,and the water droplet stayed on paper surface for a significantly longer time,indicating an improvement in the hydrophobic properties of the coat-ed paper.Furthermore,compared to uncoated paper,the dry and wet tensile strength,bursting index,and internal bond strength of the coated paper increased by 76.9%,1645.5%,48.7%,and 81.1%,respectively.
