摘要

Abstract

Since the emergence of omics technologies,the metabolomics has been widely applied in the identification of metabolites in plants.However,the traditional metabolomics methods face limitations in uncovering the spatiotemporal distribution characteristics of metabolites in plants.With the rapid development of spatial resolution technologies,the spatial metabolomics,which integrates the traditional mass spectrometry with spatial imaging techniques,has emerged as a powerful tool for studying plant metabolites.This paper provided a systematic review of the development and key technologies of spatial metabolomics,and further explored their current application in plant metabolism research.In addition,this paper conducted an in-depth analysis of the technical challenges currently faced by spatial metabolomics,and explored improvement strategies,aiming to provide the theoretical support and practical reference for advancing the development of spatial metabolomics in plants.
