Effect of quinclorac-resistant Echinochloa spp.on the microbiota structure and function of Laodelphax striatellus

Abstract
Quinclorac-resistant Echinochloa spp.can promote the growth and reproduction of Laodelphax striatellus,which is closely related to the microbiota in vivo.In this study,16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing was used to analyze and compare the structural characteristics of microbiota in Laodelphax striatellus fed on quinclorac-resistant and sensitive Echinochloa spp.and rice,and to predict the functions of the bacterial communities,in order to investigate the effect of quinclorac-resistant Echinochloa spp.on the structure and function of microbiota in Laodelphax striatellus.The results showed that feeding on quinclorac-resistant Echinochloa spp.reduced the relative abundance of Proteobacteria microbiota but increased that of Bacteroidota microbiota.At the genus level,the relative abundance of Wolbachia microbiota exhibited a declining trend,whereas Chryseobacterium and Stenotrophomonas microbiota showed increasing trends in relative abundance,although no significant differences in alpha diversity index were observed.Functional prediction analysis revealed that the in vivo bacterial communities in Laodelphax striatellus fed on quinclorac-resistant and sensitive Echinochloa spp.exhibited significantly elevated gene abundances in pathways related to energy metabolism,immune system,and nervous system,whereas resistance-related gene abundance decreased in those fed on quinclorac-resistant Echinochloa crus-pavonis.The results of this study demonstrate that feeding on quinclorac-resistant Echinochloa spp.alters the microbiota structure and affects the gene function of microbiota in Laodelphax striatellus,providing a theoretical foundation for elucidating the dynamic regulatory mechanism underlying the response of the microbiota in Laodelphax striatellus to quinclorac-resistant Echinochloa spp.关键词
