Nature of'Essence Deficiency and Shen Impairment'in Neurological Dysfunction of PTSD and Application of Acupuncture
摘要
Abstract
With the increasing prevalence of traumatic events,the incidence of post-traumatic stress disorder(PTSD)has been rising annually,posing a severe threat to physical and mental health.While exposure therapy is commonly used in clinical practice,symptoms often relapse.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)employs acupuncture based on the principles of'nourishing essence,replenishing marrow,and restoring original Qi to harmonize Shen',achieving remarkable therapeutic effects for PTSD.This suggests that the fear circuitry and related neurotransmitter secretion align with the functional concepts of essence,marrow,and Shen in TCM.By focusing on the fear center and its associated neurotransmitter pathways in PTSD,this study aims to explore the pathophysiological nature of'essence deficiency and Shen impairment',providing innovative and effective approaches for clinical treatment and guiding the application of acupuncture.关键词
