摘要
Abstract
Objective:To explore the preventive effect of Dexamethasone combined with low-energy laser treatment for soft tissue swelling after orthodontic tooth extraction surgery.Method:A total of 186 patients who underwent orthodontic tooth extraction in Huizhou Stomatological Hospital from November 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the research objects, they were divided into the study group(n=93)and the control group(n=93)by random number table method. The control group was given Amoxicillin treatment, the study group was given Dexamethasone combined with low-energy laser treatment on the basis of the control group, the mouth opening, swelling, pain and quality of life were compared between two group.Result:At 3 d and 7 d after operation, the mouth opening of two groups were smaller than those before operation, but those in the study group were larger than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);the swelling degree and numerical rating scale(NRS)scores of the study group at 1 d,3 d,5 d and 7 d after operation were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);at 3 d and 7 d after operation, the oral health impact scale(OHIP-14)scores of two groups were increased compared with those before operation, but those in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Dexamethasone combined with low-energy laser treatment after orthodontic tooth extraction surgery can effectively improve postoperative opening and soft tissue swelling, alleviate pain, and improve quality of life.关键词
