Progress in Fritillariae Cirrhosae Bulbus Resources and Production Techniques

Abstract
Fritillaria Cirrhosae Bulbus is a renowned Chinese herbal medicine with definite cough-relieving effect and has a high market demand.The wild resources of Fritillaria Cirrhosae Bulbus have been gradually declining due to specific habitat requirements and over-exploitation.The cultivation of Fritillaria Cirrhosae Bulbus emerges as a crucial strategy to fulfill clinical needs,satisfy the market demand,conserve wild resources,ensure the sustainable development of the Chinese medicine industry,and enhance the income of residents in high-altitude regions.Nonetheless,the artificial cultivation of Fritillaria Cirrhosae Bulbus has a short history and faces several challenges.Issues such as germplasm confounding,variation occurrence in cultivation,and morphological discrepancies hinder the advancement of the Fritillaria Cirrhosae Bulbus cultivation industry.To promote the development of high-quality and high-yield Fritillaria Cirrhosae Bulbus cultivation,this paper reviews the current status of Fritillaria Cirrhosae Bulbus resources and the research progress in the eco-environments,germplasm resources,breeding methods,cultivation management,harvesting,and processing,all of which impact the quality of Fritillaria Cirrhosae Bulbus.Furthermore,recommendations are proposed,including establishing a wild tending base,a standardized cultivation model and standards,an industrial production area processing system,and a comprehensive production quality management system for each original plant of Fritillaria Cirrhosae Bulbus.These suggestions aim to provide a reference for the sustainable development of the high-quality and high-yield Fritillaria Cirrhosae Bulbus industry.关键词
