Developmental Advantages and Prospects of Ecological Planting of Chinese Medicinal Materials in Nanliang,Gansu

Abstract
High-quality Chinese medicinal materials lay a material foundation for the high-quality development of traditional Chinese medicine.Soil-borne diseases,continuous cropping obstacles,and insufficient accumulation of bioactive components gradually appear as the planting years of Chinese medicinal plants increase.Nanliang is located in the hinterland in eastern Gansu of the Loess Plateau,with a deep soil layer,a vast land area,and good soil quality,which is suitable for ecological planting of Chinese medicinal plants with root and stem as the medicinal parts.Therefore,Nanliang has gradually become an important production area of Chinese medicinal materials in the northwest of China.Ecological planting of Chinese medicinal plants in Nanliang can reduce the eco-environment disturbance caused by agricultural production,protect the eco-environment of the ecologically fragile region of Loess Plateau,and prevent water and soil erosion.The wild-imitated planting model characterized by human planting and natural growing without the use of inputs(such as pesticides,fertilizer,and mulch)has a small input-output ratio.The perennial plants with excellent shape,high quality,and reasonable price ensure the quality and safety of Chinese medicinal materials.In view of the above factors,this paper proposes the concept of Nanliang ecological Chinese medicinal materials for the first time,which referred to the near-wild high-quality Chinese medicinal materials produced according to the Good Agricultural Practice(GAP)by adopting elite seed sources and ecological cultivation technology in Nanliang loess mountainous areas with deep soil layers,good water and fertilizer-preserving soil,sufficient light,and large temperature differences.In addition,this paper clarifies the scientific connotation of high quality of Nanliang ecological Chinese medicinal materials and proposes the suggestions and prospects for the industry development,aiming to provide reference for the high-quality sustainable development of the traditional Chinese medicine industry in Nanliang region.关键词
