Abstract
The disorders of gastrointestinal motility(DGIM)are common diseases in clinical practice,and acupuncture has been shown to be effective in treating these conditions.hyperpolarization activated cyclic nucleotide gated channels(HCN),which play a key role in neuro-signaling and the formation of action potentials in cells,is crucial for the regulation of gastrointestinal motility.The Enteric Nervous System(ENS)-Interstitial Cells of Cajal(ICC)-Smooth Muscle Cells(SMC)functional network is the fundamental functional unit of gastrointestinal motility and a critical link in the regulation of gastrointestinal motility.However,there is insufficient research evidence regarding whether the HCN channel is involved in acupuncture's regulation of the gastrointestinal ENS-ICC-SMC functional network.Therefore,this article focuses on the gastrointestinal ENS-ICC-SMC functional network as a target and explores the possible mechanisms of acupuncture regulation of gastrointestinal motility via HCN.It was found that HCNs,which play an essential role in cell excitability,rhythmicity,and neuro-signaling,are widely expressed in the gastrointestinal tract and can regulate the function of ENS,ICC,and SMC by affecting cellular morphology,structure,and physiological function,thus impacting the ENS-ICC-SMC functional network.Current research has demonstrated that acupuncture can affect individual components within the ENS-ICC-SMC network,mainly focusing on the ICC-related section,by regulating the expression level and function of HCNs.However,there is still insufficient research on the ENS,SMC,and the entire functional network.关键词
