Preparation and Rheological Properties of PPA/SBR Composite Modified Asphalt

Abstract
To analyze the effect of polyphosphoric acid(PPA)and styrene butadiene rubber(SBR)on the performance of asphalt,PPA/SBR composite modified asphalt was prepared using PPA and SBR as modifiers.The basic properties of modified asphalt were analyzed by tests of softening point,penetration,ductility before and after aging,tenacity and toughness.The stability and rheological properties of modified asphalt were analyzed by storage stability test and dynamic shear rheological test.The results indicate that PPA can improve the high-temperature and rheological properties of asphalt,but it is not conducive to the low-temperature ductility of asphalt.Adding SBR to PPA modified asphalt can significantly improve the low-temperature ductility of composite modified asphalt,but it is not conducive to the high-temperature rheological properties and storage stability of composite modified asphalt.Composite sulfur stabilizer(CSS)improves the high-temperature rheological properties and storage stability of PPA/SBR composite modified asphalt by dynamic vulcanization.When the content of PPA,SBR,and CSS is 2%,6%,and 0.67%respectively,the composite modified asphalt has the best high and low temperature comprehensive performance.The influence of CSS on the thermal stability of composite modified asphalt is relatively small.关键词
