Abstract
Objective:To explore the relationship between the expression levels of trichorhinophalangeal syndrome type 1(TRPS1)and sex determining region Y-box 10(SOX10)in differentiated thyroid cancer(DTC)tissues and the clinical manifestations and prognosis of patients.Methods:Clinical data of 180 DTC patients admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Xinyang Vocational and Technical College from January 2018 to January 2021 were collected.DTC tissue specimens obtained during surgery were included in the DTC group(n=180),and the adjacent tissue specimens were included in the adjacent group(n=180).The expression of TRPS1 and SOX10 in tissue samples from 180 DTC patients was detected by using immunohistochemistry.The relationship between TRPS1,SOX10 and clinical manifestations and prognosis of DTC patients were analyzed.Patients were followed up until January 31,2024.Results:The positive rates of TRPS1 and SOX10 in the DTC group were higher than those in the adjacent cancer group(P<0.001).There were statistically significant differences in the positive rates of TRPS1 and SOX10 among DTC patients with different TNM stages,tissue types,lesion numbers,lymph node metastasis,and differentiation degrees(P<0.05).Univariate analysis showed that three-year overall survival rate was associated with TNM staging,lymph node metastasis,TRPS1,and SOX10 expression in DTC patients(P<0.01).Multivariate analysis showed that TNM staging(HR=2.555,95%CI:1.381-4.728),lymph node metastasis(HR=3.010,95%CI:1.525-5.942),TRPS1(HR=3.622,95%CI:1.965-6.676),and SOX10(HR=4.319,95%CI:1.968-9.478)were independent prognostic factors for DTC patients(P<0.05).Conclusions:TRPS1 and SOX10 are mainly positive in DTC tissues,which are related to many clinicopathological features of DTC.Patients with positive TRPS1 or SOX10 have poor prognosis,which are expected to be used as new supplementary markers to evaluate the prognosis of DTC,and provide a new reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment.关键词
