摘要

Abstract

The elimination of heavy metal pollution in water is crucial for reducing potential health hazards.Chi-tosan-cucurbituril composite aerogel beads(CB[6]-CSB)were fabricated via a two-step crosslinking method us-ing chitosan(CS)and cucurbit[6]uril(CB[6])as substrates,followed by surface modification with disodium ethyl-enediaminetetraacetate(Na2EDTA)to obtain EDTA modified cucurbit[6]uril-chitosan aerogel beads(EDTA-CB[6]-CSB).The product was structurally and morphologically characterized using FT-IR,SEM,zeta potential,and N2 adsorption-desorption analyses.Adsorption experiments revealed that EDTA-CB[6]-CSB exhibited excel-lent adsorption performance for Hg2+,Cu2+,Cr3+,and Pb2+.The adsorption isotherm data were well-fitted to the Sips model,with maximum adsorption capacities(qmax)of 699.6±54.9 mg/g,249.9±6.8 mg/g,247.0±11.1 mg/g,and 349.2±14.4 mg/g,respectively.The adsorption kinetics followed a pseudo-second-order kinetic model,indi-cating a chemisorption-dominated process.After five adsorption-desorption cycles,the removal efficiencies for Pb2+and Hg2+remained at 76.9%and 65.2%,respectively,demonstrating favorable reusability of the material.
