Reflections on"Applying Western Medicine from Perspective of Chinese Medicine"

Abstract
"Applying Western medicine from perspective of Chinese medicine"refers to the study of Western medicines in accordance with the theories and methods of Chinese medicine,giving them the properties and roles they have in Chinese medicine,so that Western medicines,while maintaining their original chemical and physical properties,are also in line with the principle of evidence-based treat-ment in Chinese medicine,thus better realizing the integration of Chinese and Western medicines.Through summarizing the methods of"applying Western medicine from perspective of Chinese medicine"(oral tasting method,analogy method,clinical efficacy inference method,inferring the characteristics of Chinese medicines based on the pharmacological effects and adverse reactions of western medi-cines,etc.),analyzing and identifying the strengths and limitations of the various methods of understanding,and summing up the char-acteristics of commonly used Western medicines such as their tastes and attributes.The following issues should be noted in the practice of"applying Western medicine from perspective of Chinese medicine":(1)In the practice of"applying Western medicine from per-spective of Chinese medicine",medical practitioners should avoid empiricism as much as possible,and should conduct objective and comprehensive research and judgment.(2)For some of the theoretically derived rather than the source of efficacy of the medicinal knowledge,as well as the disagreement on the medicinal knowledge,ideas should be supported by long-term clinical practice test.(3)We should make full use of modern technology to integrate the existing clinical data,establish a standardized database,and carry out big data research on the correlation between clinical evidence,treatment,efficacy and medicinal properties,so as to promote the research on the medicinal properties of Western medicines and the clinical application of them.关键词
