Traditional Chinese Medicine Influencing Aromatic Hydrocarbon Receptor-Mediated Renal Fibrosis in Chronic Kidney Disease
摘要
Abstract
Renal fibrosis is a global health problem and a major pathological outcome of various chronic kidney diseases progressing to end-stage renal disease.Multiple signaling pathways regulate the progression of renal fibrosis,and so far there is still a lack of effective methods to inhibit or even reverse its progression.The aryl hydrocarbon receptor(AhR)is a ligand-activated transcription factor that mediates the toxicological effects of a variety of endogenous substance metabolites and exogenous toxicants.Studies have shown that AhR is widely expressed in many types of cells and is involved in a variety of biological processes,playing an important role in renal fibrosis.Traditional Chinese medicine can inhibit renal tissue injury in chronic kidney disease by regulating the AhR signaling pathway,improve the progression of renal fibrosis and disease prognosis,and enhance patients′living standards.关键词
