Research Progress on the Occurrence and Control of Turfgrass Dollar Spot
摘要
Abstract
Turfgrass dollar spot,caused by Clarireedia spp.,is one of the most destructive fungal diseases on turf.It can reduce the quality and utilization value of turfgrass.Currently,management of dollar spot highly relies on chemical control,supplemented by biological and agricultural strategies.This study provides a comprehensive overview of dollar spot from four key aspects:its origin and distribution,symptoms and identification,transmission pathways and epidemiological patterns,as well as the identification and classification of dollar spot pathogen.It also reviews the research progress in agricultural,biological,and chemical control of dollar spot,and summarizes the current status of Clarireedia spp.resistance to fungicides.Notably,it is pointed out that Clarireedia spp.has developed varying degrees of resistance to commonly chemical fungicides.Thus emphasizing the necessity to enhance research on integrated pest management techniques to reduce reliance on singular approaches and achieve sustainable control dollar spot in turf.关键词
