水平卵圆形管相变蓄热单元蓄热性能研究
Heat storage performance of horizontal oval tube-based latent heat thermal energy storage unit

Abstract
The presence of buoyancy force poses challenges in melting the phase change material(PCM)at the bottom of a horizontal circular tube-based latent heat thermal energy storage(LHTES)unit during the heat stor-age process.To address the difficulty in PCM melting,a horizontal oval tube-based LHTES unit is proposed and designed,maintaining the same storage volume as the conventional unit.Numerical simulation methods are em-ployed to investigate the influence of various eccentricities on the thermal performance of the horizontal oval tube-based LHTES unit,aiming to optimize its structure and improve its heat storage rate.The results reveal that at the optimal eccentricity of 5 mm,the heat storage rate of the horizontal oval tube-based LHTES unit is en-hanced by 21.1%compared to the horizontal circular tube-based unit,with a corresponding reduction of 18.2%in the complete solid-to-liquid phase change time of the composite PCM.As the eccentricity increases,the com-plete solid-to-liquid phase change time of the composite PCM initially decreases and then increases,while the heat storage rate of the LHTES unit follows a trend of first increasing and then decreasing.The eccentricity has a significant impact on the temperature distribution of the PCM and the evolution of the phase change interface.Importantly,the optimal eccentricity can significantly reduce heat storage dead zones,enhance heat transfer uni-formity,and thereby prevent the formation of refractory areas.关键词
