Abstract

In response to the problem of ensuring communication reliability and improving trans-mission efficiency under the dynamic change of inter-satellite distance,a dynamic data transmis-sion mechanism based on adaptive coding and modulation for inter-satellite link is proposed to re-alize efficient transmission under different link quality in this paper.An adaptive communication frame for inter-satellite link is constructed and a knowledge base of inter-satellite link communi-cation channels is also established.Through an adaptive coding modulation engine,the optimal coding and modulation schemes are selected.In the case of dynamic changes in inter-satellite dis-tance and limited/unlimited link bandwidth,the simulation platform has verified the optimal cod-ing and modulation schemes,communication rate and data volume of the adaptive communication system.The results indicate that compared to the fixed coding and modulation communication method used in traditional inter-satellite link communication system,the adaptive coding and modulation communication method proposed in the paper has significant advantages,achieving maximum system communication volume while ensuring communication reliability,which can provide a reference for the in-orbit application of adaptive communication method for inter-satel-lite link in constellation systems.
