Abstract
[Purpose]The aim of the study is to compare the effects of four nutrient solution formulations on the seedling growth of artichoke(Cynara scolymus L.)and provide reference for soilless cultivation.[Method]The pot experiment was carried out with'green artichoke'as the test material,and vermiculite,perlite and coconut coir as the cultivation medium.The volume ratio of ver-miculite,perlite and coconut coir was 2:1:1.The effects of nutrient solution formulations such as Japanese Garden Test(T1),Arnon&Hoagland Tomato(1952)(T2),Hoagland&Snyder(1938)(T3),and South China Agricultural University Leaf Vegeta-ble A(T4)on the growth of artichoke seedlings were compared.Furthermore,the correlations between nutrient solution element content and plant growth indexes were analyzed.[Result]T1 treatment was the most beneficial to the growth of artichoke plant height and plant width,with the plant height and plant width significantly higher than T3 and T4 treatments 60 days after final plant-ing.On day 60 after final planting,T1 treatment had significantly higher leaf length than other treatments and significantly higher leaf width than T2 and T4 treatments.The SPAD values of T1 and T3 treatments were not significantly different,while they were signifi-cantly higher than that of T4 treatment.The fresh and dry mass of the underground part under T1 treatment was the largest and signifi-cantly differences from that T2 and T4 treatments.T1 and T2 treatments showed the best performance regarding root configuration pa-rameters,with the root activity 50 days after final planting being 10.20 and 10.05 μg·g-1·h-1,respectively,which showed signif-icant differences from that of T4 treatment.The correlation analysis showed that the content of Ca was negatively correlated with root length,while the content of other nutrient solution elements was positively correlated with plant growth indexes.[Conclusion]T1 demonstrates the best performance in promoting the growth of artichoke seedlings,serving as the most suitable nutrient solution for-mulation for artichoke seedlings.关键词
