"Empowerment Theory"or"Conflict Theory":A Theoretical Examination of the Dialectical Relationship between Private Sector Economy and Common Prosperity

Abstract
The question of whether the private sector economy enables or inhibits the realization of common prosperity is not self-evident.Regarding the"empowerment theory",its validity hinges on scientifically understanding the connotation of common prosperity in the primary stage of socialism and the unique characteristics of the private sector economy under the socialist market economy framework.This understanding allows for clarifying the enabling mechanisms of private enterprises at both productive forces and production relations levels.Conversely,the"conflict theory"manifests in two dimen-sions:significant income disparities within private enterprises exacerbate class structural contradictions;private companies intensify labor exploitation while undermining workers'rights protection.The underlying logic stems from wealth distribution imbalances caused by private capital's inherent drive for unlimited profit accumulation.Therefore,while addressing the challenges posed by the"conflict theory",it is imperative to amplify the positive role of the"enabling theory".Guided by the dual logic of strengthening productive forces and optimizing production relations,China should:promote high-quality development of the private sector economy;improve primary distribution mechanisms within private enterprises;guide private sector participation in third-party distribution initiatives.This three-pronged approach will systematically advance the achievement of common prosperity.关键词
