Interpretation of the Guideline for Intervention in Prediabetes Based on the Preventive Treatment Theory and its compilation instruction

Abstract
The Guideline for Intervention in Prediabetes Based on the Preventive Treatment Theory focuses on the critical phase of progression from normal glucose metabolism to diabetes.Rooted in the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)philosophy of"preventive treatment of diseases",the guideline integrates multiple intervention measures from both TCM and western medicine.Developed in accordance with the group standards of the China Association of Chinese Medicine,the guideline is crafted through a structured process involving expert interviews and two rounds of clinical survey to identify the key clinical issues and outcome indicators.Systematic evidence retrieval,meta-analysis,and GRADE assessment are employed to evaluate the relevant evidence,and the final recommendation is formulated through expert consensus meetings.Following a public consultation process for further refinement,its final draft is approved and released.To facilitate an accurate understanding and application of the guideline by healthcare professionals,this article provides a comprehensive overview of the technical development process and the key features of its compilation,aiming to provide a reference for medical practitioners and guideline developers,to perform an early intervention and accurate management in the early stage of diabetes.Additionally,it seeks to promote the application of the concept of"preventive treatment of diseases"in traditional Chinese medicine in the prevention and control of chronic diseases.关键词
