摘要

Abstract

In this study,different concentrations of melatonin(MT)were employed to treat postharvest golden passion fruit,and the improvement of MT treatment on fruit decay caused by cold stress during refrige-ration were also investigated.The effects of optimal concentration MT treatment on quality and storability of fruit during cold storage were examined,and the relationship between them and cold-induced decay was fur-ther illustrated.The results indicated that the main symptoms of chilling injury of golden passion fruit are the abnormal browning and de-greening disorder.After treatment with different concentrations of MT,all above chilling injury symptoms were reduced,and the losses of pericarp moisture and fruit weight,browning index and decay rate of fruit were alleviated.0.2 mmol/L MT treatment could maintain the commercial quality of golden passion fruit via slowing down the increase of pericarp a* and b* values,maintaining higher L* value at late storage,delaying the decrease in pericarp chlorophyll content,pulp total soluble solid(TSS)and titrat-able acid(TA)content,and fruit firmness.Again,0.2 mmol/L MT treatment improved the storability of golden passion fruit by inhibiting respiration rate,cell membrane permeability and malondialdehyde(MDA)content,while increasing the contents of pericarp putrescine and proline in peel.
