Abstract

Addressing the issue of potassium chloride waste salt treatment and resource utilization faced by chemical enterprises in the pesticide industry,the phase diagram characteristics of the quaternary system K+,Na+//Cl-,SO42--H2O at 25℃was studied.It is found that the crystallization zones of glaserite and potassium sulfate occupy significant areas in this phase diagram,indicating that potassium resources in potassium chloride waste salts can be extracted by adding glaserite.In view of this,based on the study of phase equilibrium of related systems,and combined with the phase diagram of water-salt system and phase equilibrium theory,a process technology was designed to produce potassium sulfate and sodium chloride using potassium chloride waste salts and glaserite as raw materials.This process also generated by-product calcium sulfate.A comprehensive economic and technical evaluation was conducted on this process.The calculation results show that the one-time extraction rate of potassium resources from potassium chloride waste salts in this process is 86.46%,effectively achieving the recovery and resource of potassium resources from potassium chloride waste salts,the remaining mother liquor generated is refluxed as raw material to achieve circular production.Experimental verification shows that the generated potassium sulfate product meets the GB/T 2048-2008 execution standard and the designed process is indeed feasible,it provides important theoretical basis and data support for the resource utilization of potassium chloride single waste salt,which has important practical significance.
