Control technique of fracture end assisted elastic intramedullary nailing internal fixation after closed reduction for treatment of pediatric ulnar and radial shaft fractures

摘要

Abstract

Objective To explore the therapeutic efficacy of the control technique of fracture end assisted closed re-duction and elastic intramedullary nailing internal fixation in treating pediatric ulnar and radial shaft fractures.Meth-ods Twenty-one cases of pediatric ulnar and radial shaft fractures were treated with control technique of fracture end assisted closed reduction and elastic intramedullary nailing internal fixation.The intraoperative blood loss,operation time,fracture healing time and range of motion of elbow joint and forearm were recorded.The functional recovery of the elbow joint was evaluated with the Flynn score.Results All patients were followed up for 6~10 months.The intraop-erative blood loss was 10~60(25.14±6.74)ml,and the operation time was 45~65(53.38±4.69)min.All frac-tures healed within 7~12 weeks.At 6 months postoperatively,the range of elbow joint motion was flexion with 132°~142°,extension with-13°~-4°;forearm pronation was 81°~90°,supination 83°~88°.At the last follow-up,the recovery of elbow joint function was evaluated by using the Flynn score:18 cases were excellent,3 good,with an excel-lent-good rate of 21/21.Conclusions The use of control technique of fracture end assisted closed reduction and e-lastic intramedullary nailing internal fixation for ulnar and radial shaft fractures is minimally invasive,simple and con-venient to operate,and results in satisfactory recovery of elbow joint function.
