Treatment of femoral intertrochanteric fracture with proximal femoral bionic nail assisted by traction table

Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of proximal femoral bionic nail(PFBN)assisted by traction table on the femoral intertrochanteric fracture.Methods The 25 patients with femoral intertrochanteric fractures were treated with PFBN assisted by traction table.The quality of fracture reduction,time to full weight-bearing,fracture healing time,incidence of postoperative complications,and pain VAS were recorded.The hip joint function was evalua-ted with Harris score.Results All patients were followed up for 4~12(7.4±2.6)months.Postoperative fracture a-lignment was good,and anatomical reduction was achieved.Full weight-bearing time was 3~6(4.8±1.1)weeks.All fractures healed within 10~18(13.3±1.8)weeks.There were no postoperative complications such as coxa varus de-formity,head-neck screw excision or fracture,internal fixation withdrawal or breakage,and femoral neck shortening.At the last follow-up,the pain VAS was 0~2(1.0±0.6)points;Harris score was 70~96(84.2±8.0)points,which was higher than 54~93(75.6±10.7)points at 3 months after surgery,and the difference had statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusions Treatment of femoral intertrochanteric fracture with PFBN assisted by traction table can not only achieve satisfactory reduction and firm fixation,but also reduce the occurrence of complications,and is more conducive to early functional exercise for patients.关键词
