Abstract
To evaluate the thermal hazard of methyl ethyl ketoxime hydrochloride(MEKOH)through differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)to quantify impurity effects on decomposition characteristics,based on the thermal analysis of pure MEKOH decomposition,water and methyl ethyl ketoxime(MEKO)are selected as impurity additives for fundamental calorimetric tests.The DSC testing results demonstrate two distinct decomposition regimes:The presence of water reduces the initial decomposition temperature of MEKOH,significantly decreases the heat release,downgrading its hazard level to Class 1,which indicates that moderate humidity enhances the storage and transportation safety of MEKOH.The introduction of MEKO drastically compromises thermal stability,shifting MEKOH's initial decomposition temperature range to 50.5~81.2℃,and inducing multiple consecutive exothermic peaks with the maximum peak heat release of 425.6~553.2 kJ/kg,which elevates the hazard level to Class 2.These findings mandate strict control to MEKO residues in the production,and recommend safety measures to prevent the chain triggering of multi-stage exothermic reactions during the industrial handling.关键词
