Research progress on cGAS-STING pathway in regulating macrophage polarization
摘要
Abstract
As crucial immune effector cells,macrophages differentiate into functionally distinct subtypes through polarization.The cyclic guanosine monophosphate-adenosine monophosphate synthase(cGAS)-stimulator of interferon gene(STING)pathway plays a pivotal role in innate immunity.Recent studies have revealed that this pathway regulates macrophage polarization by regulating cyto-kine secretion and metabolic reprogramming,thereby influencing the progression of infectious and inflammatory diseases including ath-erosclerosis.This review systematically elucidates the regulatory mechanisms of cGAS-STING pathway in macrophage polarization and its implications in disease pathogenesis,providing novel insights for developing targeted immunomodulatory therapies.关键词
