Abstract
Small and medium-sized hydropower projects are widely distributed in China,with most generator u-nits operating at a voltage level of 10kV.In recent years,the number of circuit breaker failures at the outlet of generator units that have been in operation for about ten years has increased.Although the failure rate is low,the problem is also quite prominent.This article analyzes the cause of the failure of the HVX type 10kV vacu-um circuit breaker in a hydropower project due to loose mechanical fasteners,and proposes several maintenance and upkeep strategies,hoping to provide some help for the use of HVX type vacuum circuit breakers in hydro-power projects.关键词
