摘要

Abstract

This paper investigates the issues of water quality degradation,suspended matter accumulation,and excessive sediment concentration faced by a diversion-type hydropower project.In recent years,intensified soil erosion in mountainous areas has led to severe sediment erosion of the turbine in the hydropower station,resul-ting in the clearance between the bottom ring,top cover,and the upper and lower rings of the runner crown ex-panding to twice the original design value.This erosion significantly reduces the hydraulic efficiency,volumet-ric efficiency,and mechanical efficiency of the turbine,leading to increased vibration,extended downtime,and serious leakage issues,all of which pose a direct threat to the safe operation of the turbine unit.By applying re-pair techniques for vertical mixed-flow flow components,the normal operating condition of the turbine was suc-cessfully restored,significantly reducing the water consumption rate of the unit and providing valuable experi-ence for the maintenance of similar flow passing components.
