青少年网络真实自我呈现与社交外表焦虑的关系:同伴外貌嘲笑与外表拒绝敏感性的链式中介作用OA

To explore the relationship between adolescents'online honest self-presentation and social appearance anxiety,as well as the chain-mediated roles of peer appearance teasing and appearance-based rejection sensitivity in it,a survey of 1 200 Chinese ado-lescents was conducted using a scale and recall-initiated method.The results from both Process and structural equation modeling indica-ted that:online honest self-presentation not only negatively predicts adolescents'social appearance anxiety directly,but also affects so-cial appearance anxiety through the separate mediating roles of peer appearance teasing and appearance-based rejection sensitivity,as well as through their chain mediation effect.In other word,online honest self-presentation can reduce peer appearance teasing,which in turn lowers sensitivity to appearance rejection,thereby alleviating social appearance anxiety.The research findings contribute to un-derstanding the mechanism by which online honest self-presentation helps alleviate or suppress adolescents'social appearance anxiety and provide valuable insights for interventions targeting adolescents'social appearance anxiety.
