AI Empowerment in Urban Renewal Planning:Innovation and Practice of Multi-Objective Decision Support Technology

Abstract
The urban renewal planning of megacities faces challenges characterised by"competing demands of multiple stakeholders,conflicting multidimensional objectives,and multiscale interest complexities".Traditional experience-driven urban renewal planning decisions struggle to respond timely and effectively to these intricate requirements.Recent advancements in generative artificial intelligence(GenAI)and deep reinforcement learning(DRL)have accelerated the paradigm shift from empirical approaches to a dual-driven methodology integrating data analytics and domain knowledge.Within this context,this study proposes an AI-empowered decision support framework for urban renewal,structured around three core components:scenario perception,intelligent deduction,and collaborative decision-making.Taking the urban village regeneration in the megacity of Beijing as a representative case,the research specifically examines the application of AI technologies in large-scale multi-objective dynamic optimisation,demonstrating their substantial potential in addressing complex decision-making challenges inherent to urban renewal.The paper concludes with an analysis of both the application prospects and existing technical limitations of AI-empowered urban renewal planning.关键词
