Abstract
Objective To explore the mediating effect of reflective practice between challenge stress and innovative behavior in wound ostomy incontinence specialist nurses.Methods Convenience sampling was used to select 215 wound ostomy incontinence specialist nurses from 9 tertiary grade-A hospitals in Henan Province between December 2023 and April 2024 and they were investigated by using the General Information Questionnaire,Reflective Practice Questionnaire,Challenge Stress Scale and Innovative Behavior Scale.Results The total score of reflective practice,challenge stress and innovative behavior for the nurses was 157.69±3.25,21.52±1.77,and 38.87±2.44,respectively.Challenge stress was positively correlated with both reflective practice(r=0.835,P<0.001)and innovative behavior(r=0.806,P<0.001).Reflective practice was also positively correlated with innovative behavior(r=0.739,P<0.001),and it played a partial mediating role between challenge stress and innovative behavior,with a mediation effect of 22.83%of the total.Conclusion Challenge stress among wound ostomy incontinence specialist nurses can directly or indirectly influence their innovative behavior through reflective practice.Recognizing challenging pressures,training plans for reflective practice,and cultivation of reflective practice ability of wound ostomy incontinence specialist nurses should be considered,thus to better understand and respond to the challenges in nursing and stimulate innovative behavior.关键词
