Distribution Source Analysis and Ecological Risk Assessment of Perfluoro/Polyfluoroalkyl Substances in the Typical Areas of the Northwest Pacific Ocean
摘要
Abstract
Perfluoro/polyfluoroalkyl substances(PFASs)widely distributed in the ocean and caused toxicity to aquatic organisms, but their distribution in the remote ocean remains largely unknown. In order to investigate the distribution of PFASs in the vertical water column profiles in the typical areas of the northwest Pacific Ocean,22 seawater samples were collected from four stations(Dl,D4,D5,D6),and 29 target PFASs were detected using triple quadrupole liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry(LC-MS/MS).Additionally,possible sources of the PFASs were further analyzed, and the ecological risk assessment was conducted using Entropic Value-at-Risk method. The results showed that 24 PFASs were detected in the seawater samples, and the median ∑PFASs concentrations of the 4 stations(D1,D4,D5,D6)were 4.33,4.15,4.49 and 4.22 ng·L-1.Perfluorooctanoic acid(PFOA)and per-fluorooctane sulfonate(PFOS)were the most predominant PFASs,and eight precursor and emerging PFASs were also identified. In the vertical profile,∑PFASs concentration increased at first and then de-creased with the depth of seawater.Ratio method analysis found that the high concentration of PFASs in this region possibly resulted from the transport of the currents.Ecological risk assessment revealed that the current concentration of PFASs had not reached the risk threshold to the environment or human health.关键词
