Abstract
Polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)is a clinical syndrome characterized by hyperandrogenism,ovulatory dysfunc-tion and menstrual disorders,which is a common gynecological endocrine disorder that seriously affects female reproductive,me-tabolism and psychological health.Due to the lack of a clear pathogenesis,Western medicine has not yet developed an ideal treat-ment model for PCOS.Recent clinical studies have shown that traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has certain therapeutic effects and advantages in treating PCOS,but the main obstacle to its clinical benefits is the lack of unified TCMsyndrome differentiation for PCOS.Currently,the TCMsyndrome differentiation for PCOS mainly includes syndrome differentiation based on etiology and pathogenesis,meridians,body mass index,age stage,etc.Due to the highly heterogeneous clinical manifestations of PCOS,the re-lated hormones and glycolipid metabolism indexes play an important role in improving the accuracy of TCMdifferential diagnosis.This paper thoroughly explored the current status and characteristics of TCMsyndrome differentiation and treatment for PCOS from multiple perspectives with the aim of guiding standardized TCMtreatment for PCOS.It also provides valuable insights for both clinical practice and basic research in TCMfor PCOS.关键词
