Abstract
Objective:To translate the Capacity for Compassion Scale(CCS)into Chinese,and to test its reliability and validity.Methods:According to Brislin translation model,the Chinese version of CCS was formed through translation,back translation and cultural debugging.From December 2023 to February 2024,a total of 417 medical staff from 2 tertiary grade A hospitals in Henan province were selected for investigation to evaluate the reliability and validity of the scale.Results:The Chinese version of CCS included 4 dimensions of motivation/commitment,sense of presence,universal humanity and self-compassion,with a total of 17 items.The scale-level content validity index(S-CVI)was 0.950.And the item-level content validity index(I-CVI)ranged from 0.857 to 1.000.Exploratory factor analysis extracted 4 common factors.And the cumulative contribution rate of variance was 59.744％.Confirmatory factor analysis showed that all indexes of the model were in the acceptable range.The Cronbach's a coefficient was 0.944.The Spearman-Brown half reliability was 0.856.And the retest reliability was 0.918.Conclusions:The Chinese version of CCS has good reliability and validity.It could be used to evaluate the empathy ability of medical staff.关键词
