New Quality Productivity Empowering High-quality Economic Development:Mechanism of Action and Spatial Spillover Effects

Abstract
As China's economy has entered a stage of high-quality development,the traditional productivity has been unable to meet the needs of development.Exploring the enabling mechanism of new quality productivity will help promote high-quality economic development.This paper utilizes the provincial panel data in China from 2013 to 2022 to measure the level of new quali-ty productivity and high-quality economic development,and empirically tests the enabling mechanisms through which new quality productivity influences high-quality economic development.The results are shown as follows:New quality productivity significant-ly propels high-quality economic development,and its promotion intensity is characterized as"western region>central region>eastern region".In eastern and central regions,green technology innovation plays a significant mediating role.The impact of new quality productivity on high-quality economic development exhibits a single-threshold effect.New quality productivity has a nota-ble positive spatial spillover effect on the high-quality economic development of regions that are geographically adjacent and have comparable economic strength.关键词
