Abstract

Single-phase white light phosphors were prepared by a high-temperature solid-phase method using Ce3+,Tb3+,and Sm3+as doping ions,Na+ions as charge compensators,and Ba2CaB2Si4O14(BCBSO)as the matrix.The structural characteristics and luminescent properties of the Ba2CaB2Si4O14:Ce3+/Tb3+/Sm3+phosphor were characterized using X-ray diffractometer and fluorescence spectrophotometer,and the luminescence color and chromaticity coordinates were obtained through color coordinate analysis.The experimental results showed that the doping ions had successfully entered the matrix lattice,without altering the crystal structure of the matrix.Under the excitation of near-ultraviolet light,Ce3+,Tb3+,and Sm3+could achieve excellent blue-green and orange-red light emission.The experiment has confirmed the existence of energy transfer between different rare earth ions(Ce3+,Tb3+,Sm3+)and the white light emission and color tuning can be achieved through the composition of light and color.The chromaticity coordinates are(0.349 8,0.339 4)and the color temperature is 4 776.3 K,which can achieve good warm white light emission.The internal quantum efficiency of the sample was calculated to be 56.1%,and the luminous intensity of the sample could still maintain 85%of the intensity at room temperature under the test condition of 573 K,demonstrating good thermal stability and it could be used in white light-emitting diodes.
