Epidemiological Investigation and Analysis of the Main Viral Pathogens Causing Respiratory Syndrome in Beef Cattle in Chengde Area

Abstract
In order to understand the prevalence of the main viral pathogens causing respiratory syndrome in beef cattle farms in Chengde area.This study collected 617 samples of throat swabs,nose swabs,and blood samples from cows with respiratory symptoms in beef cattle farms in Chengde area from January to December 2024.One step RT-PCR was used to detect infectious bovine rhinotracheitis(IBRV),BPIV-3,BRSV,and BVDV.Analyze the prevalence of four major viral pathogens causing respiratory syndrome in beef cattle.The results showed that the IBRV having the highest positive rate;After analyzing the mixed infection of four viral pathogens,the positivity rates of IBRV+BPIV-3 and IBRV+BVDV were 4.7%and 5.8%,respectively,in the secondary infection.The positivity rate of IBRV+BVDV+BPIV-3 was 3.1%in the tertiary infection.To provide reference for the epidemiological investigation and prevention and control of the main viral diseases of respiratory syndrome in beef cattle in the region.关键词
