摘要

Abstract

To explore the drought resistance mechanism of the new wheat variety Jimai 379,differences in drought-resistant phenotype and autophagy between Jimai 379 and the receptor Jimai 06037 were analyzed using molecular biology techniques and field trials.The results showed that the seedling green-holding period of Jimai 379 isabout 3 days longer,and its root length and bud length are 1.70 cm and 2.16 cm longer than those of Jimai 06037under drought stress.Results from dry field trials indicate that the yield of Jimai 379 is significantly higher than that of Ji-mai 06037.Immunohistochemical results reveal that numerous autophagy structures are present in the root cells of Jimai 379 under drought stress,whereas fewer are found in the root cells of Jimai 06037.Western blot results dem-onstrate that the expressions of autophagy-related proteins ATG8 and ATG8-PE in Jimai 379 are higher under drought stress.These findings suggest that the drought resistance and autophagy capability of Jimai 379 are stronger than those of Jimai 06037.It is hypothesized that autophagy plays a role in regulating the drought resistance of Ji-mai 379,which is positively correlated with its drought resistance.The outcomes of this study will provide a theo-retical foundation for further research into the mechanism by which autophagy regulatesdrought resistance in wheat and for identifying excellent drought resistance genes in Jimai 379.
