Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of berberine hydrochloride tablets combined with mesala-zine on immune function and safety in patients with ulcerative colitis(UC).Methods Total 60 patients with UC admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to February 2024 were randomly divided into the ob-servation group and the control group,with 30 cases in each group.The control group was treated with mesalazine only,and the observation group was given mesalazine combined with berberine hydrochloride tablets.After 8 weeks of treatment,the efficacy,immune function,inflammatory response and safety of the two groups were observed and compared.Results After treatment,the total effective rate of the ob-servation group was 96.67％,which was higher than that of the control group(73.33％)(P＜0.05).The levels of CD4+,CD3+and CD4+/CD8+in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05),and the levels of D-lactic acid and diamine oxidase were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The levels of interleukin-8,interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-α were lower than those of the control group(P＜0.05),and there was no statistical significance in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).The improvement time of diarrhea,abdominal pain and bloody purulent stool in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Mesalazine combined with berberine hydrochloride tablets in the treatment of UC can signifi-cantly relieve inflammation and improve immune function.关键词
