Why Do Mothers Phub?The Influences of Mindful Parenting,Parent-Child Attachment,and Parenting Burnout

Abstract
Objective:To examine the relationship between mindful parenting and maternal phubbing,and the mediat-ing roles of parent-child attachment and parenting burnout in it.Methods:460 mothers of young children aged between 2 to 6 years were recruited to complete the mindful parenting questionnaire,the parental phubbing behavior scale,the parent-ing burnout scale,and the parent-child attachment questionnaire.Results:(1)Mindful parenting was negatively associated with maternal phubbing;(2)Parent-child attachment and parenting burnout served as significant mediators in the relation-ship between mindful parenting and maternal phubbing,which contained two distinct mediating pathways:the separate me-diating effect of parenting burnout and the serial mediating effect of parent-child attachment and parenting burnout.Con-clusion:Improving mothers'mindful parenting and parent-child attachment levels,reducing mothers'parenting burnout will help reduce maternal phubbing.关键词
