Development and Psychometric Validation of the Teachers'School Bullying Attitudes Scale

Abstract
Objective:To develop a teachers'school bullying attitudes scale(TSBAS)and examine its reliability,valid-ity,and measurement invariance across gender,teaching level,and school region.Methods:The initial scale was con-structed through literature review and semi-structured interviews.Item analysis and exploratory factor analysis(EFA)were conducted with 481 middle school teachers,followed by confirmatory factor analysis(CFA)and reliability/validity tests with 1,091 middle school teachers.Results:The final TSBAS comprises 15 items across three dimensions:bullying cognition(5 items),avoidance of intervention(4 items),and proactive intervention(6 items).The total scale demonstrated a Cronbach'sα coefficient of 0.829 and a test-retest reliability of 0.750(after 9 weeks).The scale exhibited strong construct validity and criterion-related validity.Measurement invariance tests confirmed strong invariance across gender,teaching level,and school region.Conclusion:The TSBAS shows robust psychometric properties and is a reliable tool for assessing teachers'attitudes toward school bullying.关键词
