Reliability and Validity of Creative Adaptability Scale in Chinese College Students

Abstract
Objective:To revise the creative adaptability scale(CA)in Chinese and test its reliability and validity in Chinese college students.Methods:A total of 776 college students in Beijing were selected as participants,and 236 of them were retested after a 3-week interval.The creative self efficacy scale and openness scale were used as the criterion.Results:The correlation coefficient between the total score of the scale and the questions ranged from 0.69 to 0.81,and there was a significant difference in scores between the high and low group of the scale on each question.The Cronbach's αcoefficient of the scale was 0.90 and the test-retest reliability coefficient was 0.71.Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the three-factor model fits well,with criterion validity of 0.42 and 0.45,respectively.Conclusion:The Chinese version of creative adaptability scale had good reliability and validity,and can be used as a tool to assess an individual's creative re-sponse ability in stressful situations.关键词
